Unwrapped

Advent is a season of anticipation, much like the eager excitement of waiting to open presents. As we wait, we gaze at the gifts, wondering about what is to come. In our faith lives, though, we know what is to come: Christ, the greatest gift of all, given to us at Christmas! Not flashy, or glittery, or tied with a bow; instead Christ comes humbly, unadorned, and real. God with us! Jesus liberates us from all that wraps us up in life, setting us free from needing to have it all, be it all, and do it all perfectly. We rejoice in the gift of Christ for all the world.
