Song Evening Hymn from Mountain Vespers by Kent Gustavson

Joyous light of glorious God

Heavenly Holy Jesus Christ

We have come to the setting of the sun,

and we look to the evening light.

We sing to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

Our voices pure together.

O precious, God Giver of life.

we sing your praises forever.

Sermon

Song Come Now, You Blessed by Ruth Duck

"Come now, you blessed,

eat at my table,"

said Jesus Christ

to the righteous above.

"When I was hungry,

thirsty, and homeless,

sick and in prison,

you showed me your love."

When did we see you

hungry or thirsty?

When were you homeless,

a stranger alone?

When did we see you

sick or in prison?

What have we done that you

call us your own?

"When you gave bread

to earth's hungry children,

when you gave welcome

to war's refugees,

when you remembered

those most forgotten,

you cared for me

in the smallest of these."

Christ, when we meet you

out on life's roadways,

looking to us

in the faces of need,

then may we know you,

welcome and show you

love that is faithful

in word and in deed.

Prayer Song O God of Life By Brian Schroeder

O God of Life

All that is good is you

All that delights is you

All that gives life is you

O God of Life

You take delight in us

We see your life in us

How you reside with us

Pre Chorus:

Come on, come on

Everything that grows

Come on, come on

Everything that knows

Come on, come on

And join in the song of life

Chorus:

O God of life, we praise you

O God of life, we raise a song

to you in gratitude

O God of life, we worship

O God of life, we turn our hearts

to you in gratitude

O God of life

All the earth sings to you

Creation, it rings with you

New life, it springs from you

O God of life

You celebrate it all

With great joy, you made it all

With love, you sustain it all

And all shall be well

Song Prayer of Good Courage from Mountain Vespers by Kent Gustavson

O God, you have called us

To ventures where

we cannot see the end

By paths never yet taken

Through perils unknown

Give us good courage

Not knowing where we go

To know that your

hand is leading us

Wherever we might go

Amen
