Sharing the Peace

Gathering Song Where There Is Love by Ryan Marsh

Chorus:

Come on. Come in.

We're all gathering.

Come on. Come in.

We're all gathering.

Think on God’s grace, not on your sin.

We're all gathering.

Here you are loved and forgiven.

We're all gathering.

‘Cause there’s friends here new and old

And there’s stories to be told

And there’s bread

and there’s wine to be shared

for where there’s love

God is truly there

‘Cause there's songs here to be sung

and there’s welcome for everyone

And there’s bread and

there’s wine to be shared

For where there’s love

God is truly there

Confession

Gracious God, You who are always doing a new thing, we confess that we sometimes close windows against the fresh air of new life, against the noise of other people’s worries, against the winds of change. God of every place and time, we confess that we often draw the curtains against those who are different, against world news or community concerns. Forgive us our sins. Help us unlock our hearts, restore welcome in our spaces, and unbind all which deserves freedom. Open up our lives, and in the resurrection of Jesus, let your Spirit restore us and renew us in faith. Amen.

Forgiveness

Song of Praise Praise to You by Larry Olson

Chorus:

Praise to you O Great Creator

Maker of the land and sky

Praise to you O Living Water

Hope and breath of every life

We are lost and we are longing

wandering in the wilderness

searching for your holy presence

and the reason we exist

Hear the cries of all creation

how the tears like rivers flow

for your touch of grace and healing

and the love that leads us home

May we live your way of justice

May we walk your way of peace

May we see your sacred vision

May we know your sweet release

Scripture Acclamation Behold, I Make All Things New by John Bell

Behold, behold,

I make all things new,

beginning with you,

and starting from today.

Behold, behold,

I make all things new,

my promise is true,

for I am Christ, the way.

Message

Song of the Day Lord, Whose Love in Humble Service Music: The Sacred Harp; Text: Albert F. Bayly

Lord, whose love in humble service

bore the weight of human need,

who upon the cross, forsaken,

worked your mercy's perfect deed:

we, your servants, bring the worship

not of voice alone, but heart;

consecrating to your purpose

ev'ry gift which you impart.

Still your children wander homeless;

still the hungry cry for bread;

still the captives long for freedom;

still in grief we mourn our dead.

As you, Lord, in deep compassion

healed the sick and freed the soul,

by your Spirit send your power

to our world to make it whole.

Called by worship to your service,

forth in your dear name we go,

to the child, the youth, the aged,

love in living deeds to show;

hope and health, good will and comfort,

counsel, aid and peace we give,

that your servants, Lord, in freedom

may your mercy know and live.

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer

May the Lord bless you and keep you.

May the Lord's face shine on you.

May the Lord be gracious to you.

May the Lord look on you

and give you peace.

Amen. Amen.

Amen. Amen.

Song We Go Out With the Spirit of God by Nate Houge

We go out with the spirit of God

Guiding us in the ways we will go

Showing us how

to live what we know

leading us unto God

leading us unto God

Lord keep us safe

and protect all our ways

In our trouble

please be our strength

In our stumbling

show us your grace

That we may see your face

that we may see your face
